Arnold Murray is the last surviving Confederate, veteran in the Carolinas, He will be 105 years old June 10. The lone veteran lives with his son, Lee Murray, on a farm near Orangeburg, S. C. He was in training near Charleston when the Civil War ended and never took part in any shooting. This is the only time in which the commissioners have the authority to change valuation of real estate.
