Miss Hayes Is Honored By Joint Hostesses Miss Pearl Hayes left today for Atlanta, Ga., to report for duty at the American Red Cross headquar ters. She expects to be assigned to a hospital unit following an orien tation period in Atlanta. Miss Hayes has been associated with the Haywood County Welfare Department since September, 1946. She served first as assistant case worker and was promoted to" case worker following a year's special training at the University of North Carolina. She spent most of her time in the Canton area.
