said today that price controls, the
burley tohacco program, and farm
insurance rates would In? among
the numerous topics to be discuss
ed dining the Haywood County
Farm Bureau meeting which will
be held at the Court House, May
21, at 8:00 P. M.
"'The issues on price controls,"
Rogers said, "will be clearly drawn
within the next thirtv davs. When
Congress row rites the defense aet. j
they will consider the farmers this
time." ,
He pointed out that the Farm
Bureau has finally won the fight
which began two years ago over in
surance rates on farm homes.
These rates", he said, "were $1.14
oer hundred on farm homes, but
now. they are down to 52 cents,
