Holland EEFUHOL Health Dept. Staff To Attend District Meeting The Waynesville and Canton Health Department office will be closed Friday. May 23, so that staff members may attend the semi-an nual meeting of the Western Dis trict Public Health Association of North Carolina. The all-dav session will be held at Fontana. With the office closed, the reg ular Friday clinic will not be held. The next clinic will be on Friday, June 1. The morning half of the Associa tion meeting will be devoted to a discussion of public health in civil ian defense. The afternoon will be given to separate meetings of the various groups attending. this weekend. All residents are urged to come out and help. The ladies of the community will serve dinner. The group also decided to buy a power lawn mower for commun ity use. Persons wishing to donate toward its purchase are asked to see William Osborne or Lloyd Jus tice. Mrs. P. C. Mann and Billy Sta nley were elected soft-ball coaches for the South Clyde teams.
