The Morning Star and Long's Church joint study course was held last week. The program consisted of speeches and modeling of clothing the girls made. Center Pigeon is proud to have one honor student out of three for this year's graduating class. Miss Martha June Vance, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Way Vance, has an average of 90 or more on all subjects for four years and an A on citizenship. The annual Junior-Senior ban quet, held Friday, May 11, was a huge success. Mrs. Delma Phoenix was director and advisor. Wayne Howell served as toastmaster. Those on the program were Joan McCracken, Hugh Terrill, Martha June Vance, Charles J. Blalock. Gay Chambers and Norma Lou Jones. The theme was the jungle and South Sea island. Reba Frady, Doris Rollins and Patsy McCrack en, as native girls, showed the guests to their places and served as hostesses. In the election for the Student Council for the coming year the following were elected: president, Wayne Howell; vice-president, Doris Hyatt; secretary, Doyt Shep herd; treasurer, Lyda West.
