W. Roilntree. Milk Sanitarian" of, :the County Board of Health. The bulletin fol lows: "As defined in Section 7 of the Standard Milk Ordinance, recom mended by the United Statei Pub lic Health Service, adopted by res olution of the Haywood County Board of Health May 12, 1950, it shall be" the duty of the ; local Health Department at least' once every six months to announce the grades 0i p'l milk and milk pro ducts delivered . a11 producers or distributors and ultimately con sumed within the county of Hay wood or its police jurisdiction. .Said grades shall be based upon th following standards: Grade A Raw Milk, to be consumed raw, the average bacterial plate count which does not exceed 50,000 per cc! Grade A Pasteurized milk 30,000. In the case of cream, bacterial standards shall be doubled and omitted in the case of sour cream adn buttermilk. Vitamin D milk shall be only of Grade A Pasteur ized or of certified Grade A Raw quality. "Section 3 of the Standard Milk Ordinance states: it shall be un lawful for any person to bring into or receive into the County of Hay wood or its police jurisdiction for sale or to sell or offer for sale therein, Or to have in storage where milk and milk. products are sold or served, any milk or milk products denned in this ordinance, who does not possess a permit from the Health Department of Haywood County. Only a person who com plies with the requirements of the Ordinance shall be entitled to re ceive and retain such a permit. Immediately following the an nouncement of grades, the Health Department shall see to it that the Grades are displayed in each res taurant, soda fountain, etc., where milk Is being served or distribut ed to the public. "The following firms have a per mit to sell Grade A Pasteurized Milk and Milk Products: Biltmore Dairies of Asheville; Burgin's Dairv of Dellwood; Pet Dairy of Waynes- ville; Skybrook of Hendersonville; Southern Dairies of Asheville. "The following firms have per mits to sell Grade A Raw Milk: Ferguson's of Dellwood. Notice is hereby given to all restaurants, grocery stores, meat markets, etc., selling or serving un graded or uncertified milk or milk products: raw milk, country butter, buttermilk or any other milk pro ducts will not be tolerated in Hay wood County as the Standard Milk Ordinance prohibits this."
