Mrs. Tom King presided during the busine ses'ion and Mrs. Loranzo Smather was named as delegate to Fajm and Home Week in Kaleigh. The atternoon was devoted to a workshop on Swedish darning and each member completed one arti cle. Reports on the Old of State Farm lour were gfvtn by Mrs Howard loie and Mrs. R C. Gossett. The Beaverdam Club met Tue - tiay in the basement of the Rock Wood Methodist Church, with Mr tieorge Frady president, in charge of the business meeting. Mr Frady and Mrs. Paul Robinson wt r. named as delegates to Farm and Home Week. Reports were given on the Farm Tour by Mrs. C C Willis and Mr Paul Robinson. The afternoon was devoted to. a workshop on Upholstery and the members complete# an upholtserid chair. * Refreshments were served b Mrs. George Wright. Miss Barbara Jean Davis, to Edwin Rat cliffe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Way Ratcliffe, also of Waynesville. The ceremony was performed July 31 in the parsonage of the Dellwood Methodist Church with the pastor, the Rev. Paul Taylor, officiating. The bride is a member of the rising senior class of the Waynes ville Township High School. Special guests were Brian's pa ternal grandmother. Mrs. J. H Byrd, and hi? great-grandmother, Mrs. A. M. Allen. The Campbells Are Honored On Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Campbell of Hamilton. Ohio, who are visiting relatives in the county, were honor ed Sunday with a buffet luncheon iq celebration of their twenty fifth wedding anniversary. Hosts for the affair were the son and daughter-in-law of the honor guests, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Camp bell. and a son-in-law and daugh ter, Mr. and Mrs. G. G-- Leather wuua. Ttif occasion also marked the fourth birthday of little Miss Mary Ann Makuta, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Makuta and niece of Mrs. R. C- Campbell. The luncheon was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Camp- I bell and a color note of pink and white was carried out. Arrange ments of pink and white gladioli were used in decorating and a wed ding cake and a birthday cake were featured. Assisting the hosts *in serving were Mrs. John Makuta, Miss Louise Campbell, and Miss Alice Campbell, daughter of the honor , guests.
