RAY WAFFLES Sift: 1 "f4 cups sifted flour 3 tpns. baking powder 1 tpn. salt 1 tbpn. sugar Add: 1 Vi cups milk 3 beaten egg yolks lb. melted butter Fold in 3 stiffly beaten egg whites CUFFSF TOFFING IVlelt 3 tablespoons margarine or butter. Blend in 3 tablespoons flour. Add l'a cups milk, stirring constantly. When thick add 1 cup grated cheese, 3 hard-cooked eggs, sliced; 1 cup luncheon meat, cubed; :l4 cup cooked peas. Judge Guy K. Bard thinks the voting age should be lowered because young men and women of today have far greater political knowledge than their parents or grandparents when they were young. "There are in this country today," the judge said, "influential leaders who prate of their candi dacy of the rising generation yet they oppose every attempt to lower the voting age to 18 years." TV jaycee USA K.ey To Be Presented Applications for the WaynesvilU Junior Chamber of Commercr Distinguished Service Award foi 1952 are now being accepted, ac cording to an announcement bj President John Carver. The award is an annual presen ! tation made lo the young man , who has beenjjutstanding in serj \iee to the community during the part year. The candidate is selected from nominations submitted by people in the community and are consid ered hv several judges whose iden tity is unknown," even to each other. Following their selection, the presentation ? in the form of a key.? will be made shortly 'after the Dec. 15 deadline. Nominees must not be over 35 years of age. They need not be a member of the Junior Chamber I of Commerce and final selection is not based on affiliation with the organization. Nominations may be submitted by anvone in the com munity.
