Gift To Mrs. Rosenberg
Mrs. Margaret Davis, who is em
ployed as a secretary in the office
of Mrs. Anna Rosenberg, assistant
secretary of defense, was chosen
by her fellow workers to present a
gift to Mrs. Rosenberg, who is re
tiring. The gift will be presented
at a party in the Pentagon in Wash
ington.
Mrs. Davis is the former Miss
Margaret McRorie of Waynesville.
Her husband. Capt Allen Davis is
with the Air Force in Europe.

Second Birthday
Mrs. Howell Messer honored her
little niece. Cathey Messer, on her
second birthday with a party at
the home of Mrs. Jess Messer in
Hazelwood last Wednesday after
noon.
Children's games were enjoyed
by those who attended the party,
and favors, balloons, whistles, and
party caps were distributed to the
children.
A large birthday cake served as
centerpiece on the table. Flower
baskets with mints in them were
at each place.
Ice cream and cookies were serv
ed. Assisting Mrs. Messer were
Mrs. Jess Messer. grandmother, of
the honor guest, Mrs. Neal Webb,
and Mrs. Hugh Messer, Cathey's
mother.

speaker at the January meeting of
the Waynesville Woman's Cluh held
in the dining room of the First
Methodist Church Thursday after
noon.
Mr. McCall's subject was "The
History of American Art".
Mrs. Raymond C. Lane presided
during the business session and the
club membership was divided into
groups to be known as the "Sevens"
to work for more efficiency in the
club's projects. Each group will be
headed by a member of the execu
tive board.
