Mrs. Jack Campbell had charge of the devotional and Mrs. C. L White presented a musical pro gram. T-Sgt. and Mrs. Paul Miller Koch Sgt. and Mrs. Koch were married in Washington. D. C. January 23. Mrs. Koch is the former Miss Mildred Dell Ferguson, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam W. Ferguson of Fines Creek. Miss Ferguson Becomes Bride Of Paul Koch I Miss Mildred Dell Ferguson and T/Sgt. Paul Miller Koch, both of 5 the United States Air Force, were married January 23 in the Congress ' Hefgfrfs-Baptist Church;ing ton, D. C. The Rev. A. L Smith officiated, i using the double ring ceremony, and Mrs. A. L. Smith of Washing ; ton, organist, presented the wed ding music. The bride wore a wedding gown of white lace and a finger tip veil : of illusion attached to a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of red roses. Miss Elizabeth J. Gruber of De ! troit, Mich., was maid of honor and wore an aqua dress. She car ried a bouquet of yellow roses. Charles C. Workman of Balti-| more, Md.. served as best man. Mrs. Koch is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam W. Ferguson of Fines Creek. She is a graduate of the Fines Creek High School and attended Virginia Intermont Col lege after which she entered the Air Force. She had basic training at Lackland Air Force Base. San Antonio, Tex., and has been sta tioned at Boiling Air Force Base since May. 1952. T/Sgt. Koch is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul J. Koch of North ampton. Pa. He was graduated from Northampton High School and was employed by Bethlehem Steel Company prior to entering the service. Miss Albright Accepts Position At College Miss Ann Albright has accepted a position as Dean of Women at i Erskine College in Due West. S. j C. She will fill the unexpired term of Miss Elizabeth Nichols, who has iust retired as dean. Miss Albright retired a few j years ago after serving as dean of women at Western Carolina Teachers College for a number of ! years. * * * Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Sonne of Bangor. Maine snent the week end here with friends. They were en route to Tampa, Florida for a i vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Senne formerly resided here at which time M". The bulletin board featured pictures showing various activities of the library since its establishment as a Haywood Coun ty service nine years ago. About one hundred and fifty persons visited the library during the tea hours and donations are ex pected to reach $150.00. This amount will be the initial gift to the building fund which has been j set up for expansion of the li brary. ? ? ? Samona Eastern Star To Meet Tuesday Night The Samona Chapter of the Eastern Star will hold their Friendship meeting Tuesday night, February 10. at 7:30. The meeting will be held in the Bethel Masonic Building, and all members and visitors are urged to attend.
