practicing the pagan religions
which existed in their countries
before Christianity.
By ZELDA MOSS, PEGGY HOUS
TON, and RUTH ELLEN HENSON
Mr. Nix, the Beautification Club
sponsor, with the help of some of
the F.F.A. members, has been
working hard to improve the Beth
el school grounds.
In the following paragraphs are
some of the improvements which
have been made by the Beautlfica-'
tion Club and some of the F.F.A. i
members.
Trees have been set out at vari
ous intervals on the school play
ground: wooden steps built to make
a shorter distance from the' lunch
room to the Home Economics De-1
partment; walks in front of the
High School to the Agriculture
Building and from the Agriculture
Building to the Auditorium have
been graveled: plans have been
made to gravel the ground around
the lunch room; in the near fu
ture they hope to plant shrubbery
around the cannery; and they have
impending plans to build hot beds
and cold frames so that they may
raise their own shrubbery.
Hopes for the future is that
Bethel can purchase from Ander
son Inman a portion of his prop
erty for a football field. The Beau
tification Club, if this property is
purchased, will help in building the
field.
