Twins Plan Double Wedding For June 7 Miss Doris Fowler and Miss Joyce Fowler, twin daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Jess Fowler of Clyde have announced the plans for their double wedding, which will take place June 7 at 5 p.m. in the Wes leyan Methodist Church. Miss Doris Fowler will become the bride of J. T. Hightower, son of Alfred Hightower of Canton, Route 3, and Miss Joyce Ffiwler will wed Charles Henderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Henderson of Canton. The Rev. E. W. Mauney, pastor of Laurel Grove Baptist Church, will perform the ceremony. All relatives and friends of the couples are invited. ? ? ? New Long's Chapel Circle To Meet ? She is the former Miss Helen Louise Ferguson, daugh- " ter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew McKinley Ferguson of Waynesville, Route 2. Miss Helen Louise Ferguson! Weds Lawrence T. Davis | Miss Helen Louise Ferguson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew McKinley Ferguson of Waynes ville, Route 2, became the bride of Lawrence Thomas Davis, son of Mrs. Vinson Davis of Waynesville and the late Mr. Davis, Saturday evening. May 30 in a candlelight ceremony in the Crabtree Metho dist Church. The Rev. Mrs. C. O. Newell, pas tor, officiated, * UWng the dowWr ring ceremony. The church was decorated with arrangements of fern and white gladioli and the vows were spok en before an arch entwined with ivy. A program of music was pre sented by Miss Mattie Sue Med ford, organist, and Lowery Fergu son. Jr., soloist. Mr. Ferguson sang, "Entreat Me Not To Leave Thee," and "Because." prior to the cere mony and "The Lord's Prayer." as a benediction. The traditional wedding marches were used as pro cessional and recessional. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a strapless, waltz length gown of white nylon net over slipner satin designed with lace bodice, and a matching lace fitted jacket fashioned with three-quarter length sleeves and sweetheart neckline. The full skirt had a panel of lace in front and she wore mitts of rosepoint lace. Her veil of illusion was attached to a Juliet cap.qf rosepoint lace and seed pearls ahd she carried a white Bible topped with white or chids. .? Miss Ruth Ferguson, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a strapless, waltz length gown of lime nylono net over taffeta with a matching net stole and headdress. She carried a nosegay of mixed flowers. Miss Joan Medford, bridesmaid, wore Dink net over taffeta and also carried a nosegay of mixed flowers. Barbara Ann Ferguson, niece of the bride, was flower girl. She wore a floor length dress of jonquil yel low taffeta with a veil of yellow nylon net attached to a band of flowers. She carried a basket of pink and white rose petals. Jim Plemmons. nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. Ernest Davis of Waynesville served as best man for his brother and ushers were Roy Davis, broth er of the bridegroom, Harold Win chester of Waynesvilte. and John Robert Ferguson of Asheville and Charles A. Ferguson of Iron Duff, brothers of the bride. Mrs. Ferguson, mother of the bride, wore a turquoise nylon dress with white accessories and a cor sage of gardenias. The mother of the bridegroom wore a navy sheer with navy and white accessories and a corsage of pink carnations. The couple left for a wedding 1 . , . H. Way. at 3:30 p.m. Circle 3 will meet in the home of Mrs. J. M. Long with Mrs. A. J. Fancher as co-hostess, at 3:30 p.m. Circle 5 will meet in the home of Mrs. Henry Shook with Mrs. Ed Mottinger as co-hostess, at 7:30 p.m. Circle 6 will meet in the home of Mrs. W. L. Junaluska Club , I Names Delegates To Craft Camp Mrs. C. M. Dicus, Mrs. Will Med ford ,and Mrs. W. H. Burgin were named delegates to the Craft Camp from the Junaluska Home Dem ons'ration Club at a meeting Sri day afternoon in the home of Mrs. Annie McCracken. Mrs. Carl Medford presided and led a discussion on Achievement Day plans. Project leaders reports included a discussion of fruits and vege tables by Miss Elizabeth Glosser; mental health by Mrs. Clark Mes ser, family life leader; and a food and nutrition report by Mrs. Carl Medford. Miss Jean Childers, assistant home agent, gave the demonstra tion on Food Conservation. Mrs. Sam Carswell was welcom ed as a new member. ? ? * Mt.
