Lunch ; will be' 25c. j Episcopal Laymen Elect Kimball Barber Area Chairman In Cherokee Episcopal laymen from the Ashe ville area of the Western North Carolina Diocese elected Kimball Barber of Waynesvllle chairman of the area at a meeting held in Cher okee Friday night. Barber, who will serve for two vears, succeeds Allan A. Brooks of | Highlands. About 50 laymen and rectors representing most of the Episcopal churches in the area attended the meeting which Was held in Qualla Hall. Bishop M. George Henry of Asheville spoke briefly to the group. The Rev. Capers Satterlie of Spartanburg, S. C., was principal speaker. , His talk was centered arouna*he Christian idea of man in God's world battling the Communist idea of a man-made Utopia. CARLTON CORZINE TURKEY DRESSING 6 cups dry bread in small pieces Vi teaspoon thyme 2 cups corn bread Vi teaspoon sage Vt cup each finely minced Vz cup melted butter onions and celery 2 eggs, beaten % to IV4 cups turkey stock* Crumble bread into small pieces. Mix bread with onion, celery and herbs. Add small amouni of stock to moisten; add butter mixing. Add eggs, salt to taste. Add more stock using just enough to give a dressing which holds together. "Turkey Stock"* Cook turkey neck, liver, gizzard and heat with 6 cups of cold water, a stalk of celery With a few leaves, a bay leaf, onion slice, salt and pepper. Cover tightly, simmer gently. Remove liver after 10 minutues (for gravy). Continue cooking for 1 Yi hours till tender. Strain and save for gravy and dressing. Hazel wood PTA To Have Program On Family Life A regular meeting of the Par ent Teacher Association of the Hazelwood School will be held tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the school auditorium. She showed colored slides of the flow er shows held by the club and of the Holiday House tours held at the past two Christmas seasons. Mrs. H. O.
