He was the husband of Mrs. Evelyn Smathers Kiiby, formerly of Waynesville, Koute 1. Funeral services were held Wed nesday atternoon in the home of Mrs. Kilbv's parents, Mr. and Mrs C. S. Smathers, on Koute 1. Way nesville. The Hev. C. L. Allen of ficiated and burial was in the Ked Bank Cemetery. Jr., of the Burnelte Cove section near Canton, died Mon day night in the Haywood County hospital following a brief illness Funeral services were held in the home at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Paul Grogan officiat ing. Burial was in Bryson City. Surviving in addition to the par ents are two brothers. Edward and Bobbie; a sister. Pauline, all of the home; and the paternal grandpar ents.
