Many Visitations Reported From Lower Cxabtree By MBS MILLARD FERGUSON Community Reporter The Crebtree Baptist Church ob served a Sunrise service on Easter morning on the hill-top of the .Church cemetery. The Kev. Mr. Raby led the service which was impressive and well attended. The Baptist W.M.U met on Fri day evening at the home of Mrs. Frank Brown. Mrs. Vinson Davis, president, presided. The Rev. W. F. Ferguson filled the pulplit of the Crabtree M. E. Church on Sunday morning, bring ing a very inspirational message on "Elijah's God." Mr F. R. Davis of Mooresville is spending several days with her son and daughter-in-law. Rev. and Mrs. A. R. Davis and her new grand son. Richard Beale. Also visiting Rev. and Mrs, Davis during the week end were Mr. Davis' brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Davis of Chagrin Falls, Ohio. The Lenten services conducted last week at the Crabtree M. E. Church by the pastotr, Rev. A. R. Davis, were well attended and very much worthwhile spiritually. The co-operation of the Baptist Church was much appreciated and added to the interest of the services. M M. F. A. McClain Pope ar r'ved last week from Great Lakes, 111 to spend several days with his mother, Mrs. Mary Pope, before, being reassigned. L. O. Ferguson, Jr has finished his haaic training at Camp Jack son. S C. and is spending his in terim furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lowery Ferguson. Mr and Mrs. Monte Underwood of Wavnesville spent the week end visiting relatives in the commun ity. Mr. Underwood is home with his discharge from the service at Long Branch, N J. Bobby Compton filled his place at the morning service and Raymond Blanton Sunday night. They plan to start a revival Sunday night, April 25th.
