MRS. DEMIA T. SPARKS
Mrs Demia Trcasway Sparks.
70, of the Saunook section died
early today in the Haywood Coun
ty Hospital.
She was the widow of Hardy
Sparks, who died in April, 1952
Mrs. Sparks, a native of Madison
County, was the daughter of the
| late Rev. Edward R. and Demaris
Ingram Treadway. She spent most
of her life in Haywood County and
was a member of the Pleasant
Balsam Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held
Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Red
Bank Baptist Churoh. The Rev.
O J. Beck and the Rev. Will Pharr
will officiate and burial will be in
the Kei) Bank Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joe, Billy.
Charles, and Thomas Sparks, Man
uel Hooper, and 6obby Jo Mc
Clure.
| The body Will remain at the
home of a son, John W. Sparks, at
Saunook until the funeral hour.
Surviving, in addition to the
son. are one daughter. Mrs. Mar
' garet Evanson, of Waynesville,
Route 1. a son, Ned H. Sparks of
Waynesville, Route 1; three sisters,
Mrs. Carrie Howell of Waynesville,
Mrs. Robert Price of Spartanburg,
South Cardlinu, and Mrs. Dora
Lovingood of Murphy; two broth
ers. Willie Treadway of Waynes
ville and Charlie Treadway of De
troit; 12 grandchildren and 3
great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the di
rection of Garrett Funeral Home.
