Clark Named Field Supervisor Of Farm Census Appointment of Carson White Clark of Canton, as a crew leader for the 1954 Census of Agriculture was announced today by Field Sup ervisor Joe K. Matheson of Hick ory, Clark will direct a force of 14 enumerators who will canvass all farms in Haywood County. He ri ports on October 4th to the cen sus agriculture field office at Hick ory. for a week of training The frew leader is one of the Key people in the field operations of the Census of Agriculture. It is his responsibility to train the enu merators and supervise their work; plan and allocate work assign ments; review the work of the enu merators and take remedial action | where necessary, and to conduct difficult enumerations. After attending the training con ference. Clark will return to his I district where he w ill spend three j weeks recruiting enumerators, checking enumeration district boundaries, and training enumera tors in preparation for the start of the census on November 1st.
