William R Mehaffey. 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Mehaffey, Canton, re cently spent seven days in Japan on a rest and recuperation leave from the 24th Infantry Division in Korea. Mehaffey, a cook in Battery D of the 24th' Division's 26th Anti Aircraft Artillery Battalion, ar rived overseas last February. He entered the Army in February 1953.
