KYLE LINDSEY Community Reporter The CDP held their regular : monthly meeting at the community center on Monday night. The elec tion of officers for the coming year was the main part of the discus sion. Mrs. Curtis Rogers had the devotion, and Miss Kate Robinson Was in charge of the program. Iva Ann Deaver was in charge of some ; games which were played after the i program was concluded. The South Clyde folks alone with other friends gathered at the community center Saturday night and gave William Osborne a sur prise supper. He left Tuesday for the Army. There were more than 60 guests present. Those out of the South Clyde community who were present included Mr. and Mrs. Orville Haynes, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Haynes, and Rev. and Mrs. Good win of the Clyde Baptist Church. After the supper Mr. Osborne was presented three useful gifts. These included a wrist watch from his wife, a billfold from Harry Haynes and the crew of carpenters [v.ho are building a new home for Mr. Osborne and his wife, and the COP gift, presented by the chair man, Loyde Justice, a leather kit. Charlie Messer was honored with a birthday dinner Sunday by his children. A large number of rela tives and friends were present for the event "Duck" Stamey, of the U. S. Army, is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Stamey of this com munity.
