Illinois' third governor, and his descendants in Oak llidge Cemetery. Edward Baker Lincoln died Feb. I .1850, a little more than a month before his fourth birthday. He was buried in Hutchinson's Cemetery, eight blocks west of Springfield's public square. In 1805, following the assassination of President Lin coln, Edward's body was moved to the temporary Lincoln tomb in Oak Ridge, beside the bodies of bis father, and brother, William.
