Rachel Thompson Is Bride Of Eugene Parker MUs Rachel Anne Thompson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Thompson of Route 2. Clyde, be- j came the bride of Wiley Eugene Parker, son of J. L. Parker of Route 1. Waynesville and the late Mrs. Parker Saturday at 7 p.in. in the home of tbc bride. The Rev. F. ! T. Presslev of Monroe, performed i the ceremony. Wedding music was presented by Dillarri Henson of Hazel wood, pianist, and Miss Peg gy Sanford of Clyde, vocalist. The bride, given in marriage hy her father, wore a ballerina length gown of white nylon net and late over taffeta. The bodice was of lace, and the matching jacket featured long tapered sleeves and a Queen Anne collar. The bouffant skirt of net w?s overlaid with a scalloped lace pcplum. Her finger tip veil of illusion, appliqued with lace flowers, fell from a tiny cap of taffeta trimmed with seed pearls.! She carried a white Bible topped with a white orchid and showered with streamers. Miss Geraline Sarah Summey of , Clyde was ffiaid of honor. Area Postoftices To Remain Open This Saturday To handle Christmas mailing, the Wajrnesville postoffice will he open this Saturday until 5:M while the lia/elwood postol'fice will remain open until 5 o'clock, it has been announced. Both will he closed on Christ mas and New Years Day. Waynesville Postmaster Knos Boyd said that early Christmas mailing is a little ahead of that a year ago, and expressed the hope that the public will nut wait until "the last minute' 'to mail Christmas cards and pat k a?es.
