( The concert was originally set or 8 p.m.. but was rescheduled for >: 15to avoi dconflict with a Christ nas pageant at Central Elementary School. The first part of the .concert will include three numbers by the band: "A Christmas Fantasy," by Lillya, "Sleigh Ride" by Anderson, and overture to "The Messiah" by Handel. Part 11 will include a number of Christmas songs and carols by the VVTHS chorus, among them: "The Twelve Days of Christmas," 1 \ I arranged by Hoggard; "Christmas ; Song," arranged by Ringwald: i "Carol of the Bells," arranged by Wilhouskey; "Slumber Song of the I Infant Jesus," by Gevaert: six ! carols ?< "Lo How a Rose E'er Blooming," "Away in a Manger," | "What Child Is This?", "Lullay, ! Lullay Thou Tiny Child," "While | By My Sheep," and "Sing Gloria"; "Mary, Mary, Where Is Your ; Baby?" by Hairston, "Carol of the Questioning Child" by Kountz, i and "Gesu Bambino" by Yon. Part III of the Christmas con cert will be made up of a number of special selections, including: A Christmas reading by Gail Cam lin, harp solo, "Noel," by Rosa lind Amnions; soprano solo, "The Birthday of a King" by Faye Sease; tenor solo, "Sweet Little Jesus Boy," by Bobby Hill; tenor solo, "O Holy Night," by Jimmy Fowler. The final part of the program, by the band and chorus, will be "Yuletide Overture" by Lang ? featuring a number of familiar Christmas carols. Linda Boone will be the piano accompanist and Henry Lofquist the organ accompanist. Advance prices are 25 and 50 cents. At the door the admission will be 35 and 75 cents. f - m - m 1 I East H. Singing Convention Will Be Held Sunday By MRS. J. EDGAR BURNETTE Community Reporter The East Haywood Singing Con ventioft will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the Riverside Baptist {Church with a large group of singers participating. All singers are welcome to attend and take a part in the program. The W.M.U. of the Riverside Baptist Church will meet at the Church on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. for a program on Missions. This is the final program as studied the past week. Mrs. T. E. Erwin, presi dent of the society, will be in charge. Rev. Gay Chambers was the guest minister in a week's revival meeting which was concluded with the morning service. The series of sermons were inspirational to all members attending. rtf ??
