(Mountaineer Photo). $250 Raised For Polio By Singing Group On Sunday Over $250 was raised for the 1855 March of Dimes Drive at a singing convention in the Meadow Grove Baptist Church near Cruso last Sunday afternoon. The songfest. promoted by Yoder Clark and his Hominy - Beaverdam - Thickety workers for the benefit of the 1955 drive proved more successful than expected. Clark said that ^e and the Rev. T. T. Heatherly of the Meadow Grove Church were hardly able to contain their excitement. This $250 represents a pnrt of some $1,100 already deposited at the Haywood County Bank in Can ton for the Canton - Bethel - Clyde area drive. Not yet complete, nor deposited contributions from employees of the Champion Paper and Fibre Company appear to total more than $4000 according to J. J. Martin w ho heads the drive there.
