Arrangements are now being made for coaches, schedules, ,>na teams for the three leagues. PROJECT III. Town lmprove jwnts and Beantiflcatlon. 1. Shrubs have been planted at the fireplace on the playground. 2. Mayor Lawrence Davis pro claimed a "clean up, fix up" week. 3. More dogwood trees have oeen planted. The chairman of this committee In Hazelwood has work ed with committeesln Waynesvllle. Lake Junaluska, and Clyde to pro mote the planting of dogwood in this section of the county. 4. Picnic tables have been made and are ready to be installed at the fireplace. PROJECT IV. Religions Activi les. 1. All churches cooperated in the Presbyterian revival. 2. New pews were installed in the Church of God. 3. Junior Police boys have at tended three different church serv ices in a body with their advisor, Police Chief Roy Stephens. 4. Hazelwood churches' welcom ing sigh on Highway 19A-23 has been repainted and the name of the Seventh-Day Adventlst Church added to the list. 5. The North Hazelwood Baptist Church workers have completed the roofing of its ne\? building and the covering of outside walls with construction felt. Windows are next to be installed. PROJECT V. Social Activities. 1 A Daniel Boone Council of Boy ScouU court of honor wu held In Waynetvllle April 18. This cere mony proved to be outstanding be cause each step in Scouting was represented. Boys were presented with Tenderfoot, Second Class. First Class. Star, Life, and Eagle awards and merit badges. The pres ident and past president of Daniel Boone Council were present and each made an inspiring talk. 2. Junior "Police boys were pre- j sented cap badges and belts at a public ceremony. " .
