Miss Bowles is president of the youth Fellowship of the Waynes ville church. Patsy Leatherwood also attend ed the conference as a representa tive of the MYF of Elizabeth Chap el. The conference was attended by more than 200 young people of the Western North Carolina Meth odist Conference. The program theme was "My Life's Work Through Christ's Work". ? * * Mrs. Spencer Entertains Miss Garrett Mrs. Cecil Spencer honored her niece. Miss Helen Garrett, bride elect, with a miscellaneous shower Saturday evening in their home at Clyde. Miss Garrett, who is a junior at Greensboro College, spent the weekend with her par ents. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Garrett. Informal games were played after which refreshments were served and gifts were presented to the honor guest. A green and white color scheme was carried out.
