Cable of Tuskeegee, became the bride of Staff Sergeant Thurman W. McCracken, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jarvis McCracken of Waynesvllle, In the Waynesvllle Presbyterian Church, Friday after ioon, June 10, at 5 o'clock. Adm. W. N. Thomas, retired ?hlef of chaplains, USN, performed be ceremony and the vows were poken before an arch covered with ?ern and white gladioli buds. The altar was decorated with baskets of white gladioli and seven branched candelabra. Mrs. Bob Wilson, organist, and Jack Kelly vocalist, presented a program of traditional music. The couple entered the church together and were unattended. The bride wore a ballerina length gown of white Chantilly lace over satin, ashioned with a fitted bodice, high neckline, and long tapered sleeves ending in points over the hands. Her fingertip veil of illusion was attached to a bonnet-shaped halo trimmed with seed pearls and she carried a Bible topped with a white orchid and showered with white ribbon. ?. A. Cable, Jr., brother of the bride, and Eric Beraza, brother-in law of the bride, served as ushers. The bride's mother wore a blue linen dress with white accessories and her corsage was of white car nations. The mother of the bride groom also wore a blue linen dress with white accessories and a white carnation corsage. Immediately after the ceremony the couple left for a wedding trip after which they will make their home at St. Johns, Newfoundland where the bridegroom is stationed with the Air Force. For traveling the bride wore a blue linen suit and the orchid cor sage from her Bible. Mrs. McCracken is a graduate of Steeoah High School. Sgt. Mc Cracken was graduated from the Waynesville High School. He is stationed at Pepperal Air Force Base, Newfoundland. ? * * S/Sgt. and Mrs. Vanor W. Haynes of San Antonio, Texas ar rived Sunday to spend a 30-day leave with relatives in Clyde and Belmont. Sgt. Haynes has been stationed at Randolph Air Force Base for five years. He will report to a new assignment in Labrador. Sgt. Haynes is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Grover C. Haynes of Clyde. Miss Neely, Mr. Rogers Are Honored At Party Mrs. Mason Crum and Mrs. Wayne Rogers honored Miss Lucy Neely and Woody Adams at a party Thursday evening following their wedding rehearsal. The affair was given in the home of Mrs. Crum at Lake Junaluska. A bridal motif was carried out in the decorations and refresh ments.
