Finos Crook 4-H'er Describes Colorado Parade By PATRICIA KIR1TPA TRICK Pines Creek 4-H Club As we stood on 9th Avenue in Greeley, Colorado on the Fourth --1 of July and watched the parade come down the street, we saw a variety of floats, bands, horses, and i decorated bicycles. The floats were made by the 4-H I Clubs in Weld County. First prise j went to the Kuner club. Others Mere interesting and showed a great deal of work. The theme of the parade was poems. Later in the evening on the Fourth, Haywood and Weld coun ties had a fellowship picnic sup per at Glenmere Park and enjoyed square dancing at Colorado State College of Education on the tennis court*. This Fourth of July is one that we have enjoyed because Weld County has made us feel at home. Lower Crabtree Community News By MRS. I BING CROSBY AND GRACE KELLY a* husband and wife in Par amount's "The Country Girl," due Sunday at the Strand The atre, rive award-winning performances. They are co-starred with William llolden in this great Perlberg-Seaton Production. ^' ' ? . . . I 'Country Girl' Hailed As Year's Film Thunderbolt One of the truly great dramatic experiences of cinema history is accomplished in Paramount's ex citing fllmization of the smash Broadway play "The Country Girl" which is due to open Sunday at the Strand Theatre. Starring Bing Crosby, William Holden and Grace Kelly, this dy namic package of celluloid enter tainment has been receiving the plaudits of critics and audiences everywhere it has been shown. The plot concerns a man torn by a supposed guilt far a past tragedy who seeks to hide that guilt behind alcohol and a com plete dependence on his wife. He is an actor who is given one last chance to get back to the straight and narrow by appearing as the lead in a musical show. His wife and the play's director strive to keep him going and what eventu ally happens is a heart-wrenching drama that is reportedly the most electrifying package of celluloid ever filmed. Bing Crosby, in the role of the weakling actor, is seen in a com plete departure from anything he has attempted in the past. From all advance reports it once and for all establishes him as one of Hol lywood's foremost acting talents. Grace Kelly as the wife is no less overwhelming. A relative newcom ler to the acting profession, Miss j Kelly is an actress with the mark | of greatness about her. (British Minister ! At Lake Friday A British minister, the Rev. W.
