AND MRS. HORRY O'NEAL JUSTICE were married Saturday afternoon in the tune of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Wood. The bride is the former Mlm Martha JUbeoca Mathews, daurhter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Mathews of Clyde, Route 1. Miss Mathews Is Bride Of Bobby Justice The marriage of Miss Martha Rebecca Mathews, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Mathews of Clyde, Route 1, and Bobby O'Neal Justice, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Justice, also of Clyde, Route 1, was solemnized Saturday, August 6, at 5 p.m. in the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Wood. The Rev. Doyle Miller, pastor of the Crabtree and Rock Springs Baptist churches, performed the ceremony and a program of music was presented by Miss Patricia Messer, pianist, and Miss Sandra Wood, goloist. The vows were spoken before an arch decorated with fern and flanked with white gladioli and candelabra. The couple entered together. The bride wore a white street length dress designed with sweet heart neckline, short sleeves, and soft gathered skirt. She wore a small white hat with short veil and carried a white Bible topped with a white gladioli and lern. Mrs. Pauline Wood, of Clyde, Route 1, sister-in-law of the bride groom, was matron of honor. She wore a street-length dress of or chid nylon. ? An informal reception followed the ceremony after which the couple left for a wedding trip. Up on their return they will be at home on Clyde, Route 1. Mrs. Justice was graduated with honors last May from the Crab tfcee - Iron Duff High School. Mr. Justice has recently return ed from service with the U. S. Army in Germany and is employ ed with the Howard Hall Construc tion Company. He also attended the Crabtree-Iron Duff School. * ? ? Mountain View Club Meets With Mrs. Fender The Mountain View Garden Club met Thursday at the home of Mrs. J. E. Fender with Mrs. Irving Leatherwood and Mrs. Fred Hyatt as co-hostesses. Luncheon was served on the. terraee prior to the meeting. Mrs. Joe Massie presented the program on "Hillside Planting." Mrs. Sam Calhoun was named to membership in the club. ' f Camp Junaluska Has Coronation Pageant Today - \ Christine Garrard cf Champagne. ?Illinois was crowned Queen of Camp Junaluska with pageantry and ceremony this afternoon in the amphitheatre of the camp. Around two hundred parents rod friends of the compers are lere for the closing events of the ".amp year, of which today's event was the highlight. Special urograms will continue until the '.ast day of the camp. August 17. Saturday night "The Wishing Well," a series of short plays, will be staged and Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock there will be a swim ming and canoeing exhibition. Sunday morning a special com munion service for Protestant campers will be held at Memorial Chapel at Lake Junaluska and a candlelight vesper service will be held at tbe camp at 7:30 p.m. The programs for Monday in cludes an exhibit of arts, crafts, ??nd naturelore and a flower show from 11 a-m. until 4:30 p.m., and a farewell honor council with pres entation of awards at 8 p.m. The farewell banquet will be held Tuesday night. Previous events this week in cluded a horse show held Monday with Stella Ferguson of Tampa. Florida winning the Diane Evans Trophy, and a Musical Evening last night. Among the campers are three Waynesville girls, Betty and Mary Barber and Agnes Jane Roberson. ? ? ? Richland Baptist WMU Will Meet Friday Night The Woman's Missionary Union of the Richland Baptist Church will meet with Mrs. Robert Cut shaw at her home on Welch Street, Friday night. Mrs. Everett Cutshaw, presi dent, will be in charge of the meeting which begins at 7;30 o'clock. Mrs. Wayne Caldwell will pre sent the program. All women of the church are in vited. ? ? * Lyman C. August 12, from 10 a.m. throughout the morn ing. The books for sale are dupli cates and many pocket editions of i mysteries. Mrs. Charles E. Ray and Mrs. T. W. Bridges will be in charge of the sale. All money will go into the Library's building fund.
