Corn of Johnson City, Tenn., be came the bride of Walter Frank Dunn, son of Mrs. Clinton C. ; Dunn and the late Mr. Dunn, in a I candlelight ceremony in Central j Baptist Church, Johnson City. Sat | urday. August 27, at 8 p.m. Dr. James W. Cox conducted the double ring ceremony and a pro gram of music was presented by John Jeter, oragnist. Miss Margaret Hagood. violinist, and Miss Anita ltr>ddy, vocalist. The vows were spoken before an altar banked with fern plaque; and flanked by baskets of whit? gladi oli and branched candelabra hold ing pink tapers. * The bride was given in marriage by Homer L. Pease, close friend of the couple. She wore a gown of Imported, hand-clipped Chantilly lace over nylon net and talTeta. The fitted bodice was encrusted with seed pearls and sequins and was designed with portrait neck line and long sleeves ending in points over the hands. The bouffant skirt cascaded into a chapel train with tiers of pleated nylon tulle and rufTled lace. Her finger-tip veil of French illusion was attached to a scalloped half-hat which was t r i nrnned with sequins and seed pearls. Thfhpde carried a hand-cm broioered silk handkerchief, which bad been carried by her maternal grandmother and her mother at their weddings and her bouquet was a cascade of gardenias and stcphanotis centered with a white orchid. She wore a strand of pearls, a gift of the bridegroom. Miss Pauline Rowc was maid of honor. She wore a waltz-length dress of azalea pink lace fashioned with taffeta cummerbund with a bow in the back and she carried a cascade of pink gladioli and roses. Bridesmaids were Miss Milhcent ombs of Knoxville, Miss Janet Eas lly of Spangler, Pa., Miss Virginia i Aroney of Ebensburg. Pa., Miss ValdJne Guinn of Rrwin, Tenn., and Miss Jo Ann Dunn and Mrs. Iree Jordan, both sisters of the bridegroom, of Johnson City. Their gowns were identical to that of the maid of honor and they also carried cascade bouquets of pink gladioli and roses. Stephanie Jordan, niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl and Fred Corn, II, brother of the bride, was ringbearer. A. B. Hardin, Jr. of Elizabeth ton, Tenn., served as best man and ushers were Rod Van Buren Walsh of Kingsport, Tenn., Hal Little ford of Johnson City. Nelson Vest of Johnson City. Dan Weekley of Elizabcthton, Peter Sheffield of Auburn. Ala., and Harry Fortune of Erwin. Tenn. Mrs. Corn chose for her daugh ter's wedding a waltz length dress designed with full navy nylon chif fon skirt, pink bodice and pink jacket with navy trim. She wore a pink hat covered with sequins and her corsage was of pink camelias. The mother of the bridegroom wore a dress of navy and white silk taffeta, trimmed with rhinestones And her corsage was ol gardenias. Following the ceremony the mother of the bride entertained with a reception at the Johnson City Country Club, For a wedding trip the bride wore a two piece dress of jade white silk shantung with blue ac cessories. Her corsage was the or chid from her bouquet. Both Mr. and Mrs. Dunn are graduates of East Tennessee State College. Mr. Dunn is now serving with the U. S. Air Force, OSI, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Out-of-town guests included Mrs. S. J. Liner and son, Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Gentry, Miss Edna Hayes, Mrs. Charles McDarxis. and Dr. W. H. Miss Hannah is a gradu ate of Converse College and taught in the Clyde School last year. W. Howell, president, presided and the devotional was givert by Mrs. Jim Leatherwood. Mrs. Ruth Medford was a guest. Project leaders' reports were given on home gardening by Mrs. Flora Boyd, home beautlflcation by , Mrs. W. T. Rainer. and home freez ing by Mrs. Robert Howell. Mrs. M. W. Barber, chairman of the Achievement Day committee, reported on progress being made by the committee and made as signments of duties of members. She also exibited a hand-tooled copper planter and made plans to hold a club workshop during the morning of the October meeting. Announcements were made con cerning achievement reports and county council meeting to be held on Tuesday morning, September 13,, in the courtroom. The demonstration on "Meals from Frozen Food" was given by Miss Mary Cornwell, home agent.
