The brides, an aunt and her
nieee. who is. four days older, both
of Hawaii, have been lifelong com
panions. They are both graduates

Baptist Pastor
The R<v. T. E. Robinett, pastor
of the First Baptist Church, was
the .speaker at the first fall meet
ing of the Dorcas Bell Love Chap
ter, Daughters of the American
Revolution. His subject.was "What
The Constitution Means To You".
Mr. Robinett discussed the mean
ing of the constitution politically,
spiritually, and socially. He was
introduced by Mrs. R. N. Barber,
who planned the program in prep
| a ration for Constitution Week.

The meeting was held Friday af
ternoon with Mrs. J. F. Abel and
Mrs. Robert Osborne as hostesses
in their home on Love Lane.

Mrs. W. F. Swift was named dele
gate to the district DAR meeting
which will be held in Marion next
month.
Mrs. James R. Boyd announced
that she had sent several Boxes of
clothing to Crossnore and made an
appeal for more donations to be
included in a box which she is pre
paring to send.
Mrs. J. W. Killian, chairman of
Good Citizenship, announced that
she had presented a gift of silver
to Miss Marguerite Russ, last year's

riage to Robert Conway took place

a luncheon given by the personnel
of the Industrial Relations office of
Champion Paper and Fibre Com
pany of which she is a member.
The luncheon was given at Glen
nelle's in Canton on Thursday.

Copper Workshop
The Iron Duff Home Demon
stration Club held in ell-day meet
ing in the dining room of the
Methodist Church on Friday. Mrs.
Ray Milnefr, president, was in
charge of the day's activities.
The morning was devoted to a
copper platter workshop, and the
regular monthly meeting was held
in the afternoon. During the busi
ness session Mrs. Manson Medford
was named 2nd vice-president. The
club made plans for its Achieve
ment Day Exhibit.
