Everyone Is asked to par ticipate in this event, to make it a success. All kinds of farm prod ucts, hand work, canned goods, end anything of inlerest will be ac cepted for display. It is hoped a wide variety of exhibits will be shown. The Wesleyan Service Guild met at the church Thursday evening with Mrs. David Burch hostess. Mrs. John Nations was in charge of the program, with otli- | er members of the group partici- | pating. Miss Melba Willis. Spiritual Life leader, was in charge, of the devotion. During the business plans were completed for a study course to be gin the first Sunday night in Octo ber. Members of the Guild wi'l lead the discussion for four ses sions to complete the required study of six hours. The text, Five Great Spiritual Classics, will be used. A social hour followed, and re freshments were enjoyed. Mrs. Mary Robinson, a bride of Sunday, was presented a gift by group mem bers. The Guild will be represented by two members at the Coaching Day the fleet, and will receive $600 an nual retainer pay until commission ed. In addition to the normal col- < lege curriculum, the midshipmen < will study a planned course in nav al science. All tuition, fees and books will be furnished by the Navy. 1 HURRICANE VICTIMS FIND SHELTER?Members of the Ed ward Nixson family from nearby Salter Path fled from their ex posed home on the beaeh as hurrieane lone approaehed and found shelter in the Municipal Building at Morehead City. State College after the summer vacation days during which time he was employed at Champion Paper and Fibre Com pany. Miss Nancy Hipps has returned after spending several weeks with her sister.
