Stamey, chairman of the American Home Department, spoke on "Teaching Attitudes In the Home" at a meeting of the Waynesville Woman'a ClFib Thurs day afternoon in the First Metho dist Church. Stating that the best opportun ity for teaching chlldred. is present ed through example the home, she listed the four mo/ft important attitudes as follows: the attitude toward self, toward others, toward things, and toward worship. Mrs. T. W. Bridges, first vice president, presided a nd welcomed four new members: Mrs. L. E. Per ry, Mrs. Jimmy Willfams. Mrs. Roy Reed, dhd Mrs. Hugh Leach. Mrs. C. F. Kirlcpatrick, chair man of community; affairs, asked that members brinjg contributions of toys or cash to the next meeting in preparation for the Community Christmas Tree, Mrs. Bridges annoupced plans for a luncheon at the Town House on December 15 immediately pre ceding the December meeting. Sherrod McCall enter tained at a coffee hour Saturday morning in her home on Hillside Terrace. Assisting during the first hour were Mrs. Rufus Slier and Mrs. James L. Elwood, who presided at the dining room table, and Mrs. Robert Stretcher, who greeted the guests at the door. Miss Amelia MacFadyen receiv ed at the front door the second hour and Mrs. R. L. Prevost and Miss Anne Albright presided at the coffee service. The table was covered with a linen and Point de Venice lace cloth and was centered with an arrangement of pale pink to deep rose gladioli and chrysanthemums in an Italian compote. An arrangement of dried flowers was featured in the living room. Ninety guests were ineluded.
