S. Forest Service and the N. C. Wild life Resources Commission. Fishing in the refuges may be done only after the Asherman pur chases a $1 permit at the check ing station to the refuge of his choice. All persons also must have valid Ashing licenses and special trout stamps. Checking stations In all areas ! will open at 6 a.m. and all Ash ermen must be checked out of the refuges by 8 p.m. A creel limit of 10 per day is legal and Ash of any size may be kept. Streams open free of charge to children under 18 include Grogan Creek off Davidson River from its mouth to the Arst falls, and South Toe -River In Mt. Mitchell area between the swinging bridge ..J a. Mitchell Will Pitch For WTHS j George Mitchell will be on the mbund for Waynesville Tuesday afternoon when the Mountaineers are* scheduled to open their 1956 baseball season on the WTHS diamond against the Bethel Blue Demons. In two games last season, the tra ditional county rivals split a pair. Rounding up the startling lineup announced Saturday by Coach Bruce Jaynes are: Bobby Hill, catcher; James Carver, first base; Johnny Wright, second base; Mike Byrd, shortstop; Bobby Ballance. third base; Tony Davis, left field; Don Ezell. center field, and Jack Holder or Sam Lane, right field. The remainder of the WTHS mound staff Includes Bobby Bal lance, Ken Gibson, Bobby Trull. David Beck, and Holder. Coach Jaynes said that his Moun taineer nine has shown a lot of hustle in recent workouts, and added: "They should do fairly well this season, although they'll be playing a tough schedule throughout." Mr. Jaynes said that he has com pleted his schedule by filling two open dates with a series against Clyde High. The teams will meet here April 24 and at Clyde May 2.
