Eugenia Crow Is Bride Of Robert B. Colkitt Miss Eugenia M. Crow, daughter , of Mrs. John Dodson Crow. Sr. of Chattanooga, Tenn., became the bride of Robert B; Colkitt, also of Chattanboga. Friday, May 4, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Chattanoooga. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben E. Colkitt, Sr.. of Waynesville. , The vows were pronounced by the Rev. John H. Bonner, Jr., pas tor of the church, and a program of organ music was presented by Thomas Alexander. ,, The altar was decorated with vases of white gladioli. Given in marriage by her broth er, Frank L Crow of Chicago, the bride wore a suit of periwinkle blue silk shantung with navy ac cessories. She carried a white pray er book topped with Eucharts lilies showered with lilies of the valley. Mrs. Harvey Clark. Jr. of Mur freesboro, Tcnn., was matron of honor. She wore a beige dress and hat with navy accessories and car ried a hand bouquet of yellow roses. Lt. Coradr. Ben ?.. Colkitt. Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla., served as best man for his brother. - Following the ceremony a break fast was given in the hotne of Mrs. H. E. Fansler. Mrs. Douglas Bev ille of Chattanooga assisted. Mrs. Crow, mother of the bride, wore a sheer navy dress with navy and white accessories and her cor sage was of while orchids. Mrs. Colkitt, mother of the bridegroom, wore a silk print with pale green accessories and her corsage was also of white orchids. After a southern wedding trip the couple will be at home at Apartment 48, 30 South German town Road, Chattanooga. Mrs. Colkitt was graduated from Chattanooga High School anti re ceived her AB degree from Queens College, Charlotte where she was president of the .student body, member of Phi Mu Fraternity, and wis elected to Who's Who in Amer ican Universities and Colleges. She is presently employed with Motors Insurance Corporation at Chatta nooga. Mr. Colkitt was graduated from 1 the Waynesville High School and served in the U. S. Navy J He holds an AB degree from the University 1 of North Carolina where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha faterni ty. He is now employed by the Maps and Surveys Department of TVA and is doing further study at the University of Chattanooga. Among the out-of-town guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Ben E. Hyatt gave the pro gram at a meeting of the Haywood Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Friday afternoon ip the home of Mrs. L. E. Perry. Hei subject was "Prisons of the North and South", Mrs. C. F. KiVkpatrick presided and reports were given on the dis trict meeting of the UDC held here April 28. The state presi dent, Mrs. Ashley T. St. Amand was quoted as saying that the meet ing here had the largest attend ance of any district meeting she had attended, with every chapter in the district represented. Plans were made for an observ ance of Confederate Memorial Day, May 10, with a decoration of graves of Confederate veterans. Mrs. J. H. Howell, Sr. conducted a service in memory of Mrs. James R. Boyd, a former member of the chapter. ' Mrs. ,W. A. Hyatt was named chairman of a committee to place books on Southern history in the Haywood County Library in mem ory of Mrs. Boyd and Mrs. L. W Killian. Mrs. Howell reviewed the UDC magazine. Announcement was made that j the June meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. N. W.
