Garden Club At Canton Plans Rose Show The Friendly Garden Club of Canton, will sponsor a Rose Show Friday, June IS. in the assembly room of the Canton Library from 2 to 6 p.m. The theme of the show will be "A Friendly Home and Roses". Miss Mary Frances Kirk patrirV is serving as general chair man of the event Members of the four Canton Garden Clubs will be eligible to enter exhibits and the public is invited to attend. Plans are being completed by the following committees: Schedule, Mrs. Ralph Crawford, Mrs. Roy Smathers, and Mrs. T. B. Allen; Entry. Mrs. Frank Veto, Jr., Mrs. Ed Harkins; Classification, Mrs. W. C. Margaret Johnston Is Vice President Of State B & PW Miss Margaret Johnston, former Haywood County Librarian, was installed as vice president of the State Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs at the annual State Conference held over the weekend in Winston Salem, Miss Johnston is now librarian of Rockingham County. Featured speakers at the meet ing were Judge Libby E. Sachar, only woman judge of New Jersey, and Judge Susie Sharp, superior court judge of North Carolina.
