Commerce High School, attended
the University of Georgia, and will,
be graduated this month from
Grady school of X-Ray Technology
in Atlanta.

p.m. in the Centra] Methodist
Church of Canton
The Rev Cecil G. Hefner, pastor
of the church, performed the
double ring ceremony. The altar
was decorated with white stock,
lillies, snapdragons, and ferns
interspersed with white cathedral
tapers. Tall floor baskets held
white gladioli, lillies, and snap
dragons, and the pews were mark
ed with white tapers entwined with
English stock. The windows were
banked with ferns and centered
with candelabra holding cathedral
candles.
A program of traditional wed
ding music was presented by Mrs.
Roy Ptess, organist, and David
Kirkpatrlck, vocalist, both of Can
ton
The bride, given In marriage by
her father, wore a gown of candle
light satin. The round neckline
and the cuffs of the long tapered
sleeves were appliqucd with pearls
and beads from her maternal
grandmother's wedding gown. A
long torso effect was created by a
narrow band of satin woven Into
unpressed pleats, and the bouffant
skirt flowed into a cathedral train.
Her full length, two tiered veil
of Illusion and coronet were ap
pliqued with Chanttlly lace, beads,
and pearls. She wore a necklace
that belonged to her paternal
great, great grandmother, and car
ried a cascade bouquet of mini
ature calla lillies showered with
itephanotia.
The wedding ring worn by the
bride belonged !o the bridegroom's
paternal great grandmother.

of Canton was matron of honor.
Miss Jenobel Zlppcrer, rousin of
the bride, of Madison, Fla., was
maid of honor. They wore floor
length gowns of seafoam green
crystalette, fashioned with long
torsos and full skirts. The boat
necklines were edged with hand
made lace, and they wore tiny hats
of matching crystalette. Their
gloves were white, and their flow
ers were cascade bouquets of lad
die carnations and celosia in
shades of pink and dubonnet.
Bridesmaids were Miss Mary
Lou Gerringer and Miss Nancy
Bischoff of Hazelwood, classmates
of the bride at Duke University.
Mrs. James Lewis of Hichmond.
Va. and Canton, and Mrs. John Mc
Carthy of Miami. Fla.. cousin of
the bride. Miss Sara Lynn Cline
of Greenville, S. C, cousin of the
bride, and Miss Lynn Ann HampJ
ton of Canton were junior brides
maids.
They wore gowns and hats iden
tical In design and color to those
of the honor attendants. The
bridesmaids carried cascade bou
quets of carnations and roses in
shades of pink. The junior at
tendants carried small bouquets
similar to those carried by the
bridesmaids.
Mr. Thomhlll served as his son's

chalk white beads and sequins.
She wore a matching hat and a
corsage of green orchids.

rvink and gray nylon chiffon floor
length gown and a corsage of pink
orchids.

sophila. Garlands of smilax were
held at intervals by gardenias. The
buffet was flanked by silver can
delabra with arrangements of gar
denias at the base.
