Workers To Have
Training Course
The first class of a four-session
Adult Training Course for Girl
Scout troop leaders, committee
members, and other interested
adults will be held Friday at the
Girl Scout Hut. from 9 a m. until
2:30 p.m.
' Mrs. Lillian Bryant of Asheville,
professional Girl Scout worker,
will conduct the class.
Those attending are asked to
bring a nose-bag lunch.

Miss Kathleen Calhoun left Mon
day by plane for Philadelphia. Pa.,
where she has accepted a position
as seeretary-bookkoeper in the Na
tional Headquarters of the Board
of Missions of the Methodist
Church.
Miss Calhoun, daughter of Mrs.
Fred Calhoun of Wayncsvllle and
the late Mr Calhoun, received her
secretarial training at Woman's
College. Greensboro.

dress of white satin fashioned with
round neck outlined with lace, long
sleeves, and boufTant skirt. Her
fingertip veil of illusion was attach
ed to a coronet trimmed with
orange blossoms and she carried a
bouquet of white carnations. Her
only jewelry was a pearl necklace,
a gift of the bridegroom.

Following a wedding trip the
couple will make their home in;
Zweibrucken, Germany until Mr '
Banks completes his service with

be employed with the Champion
Paper and Fibre Company.
