Faison Saturday af ternoon. The president, Mrs. J. M. Bowden presided. Mrs. C Beems. had charge of the program. The topic was TheMetrical Tale. Miss Martha Faison of New York gave a talk. Oriiinal poems were given by the members. During a social hour the hosvess served a salad course with iced tea'. Additional guests were Mes dames T. W. Devane, I. L. Faison I. F, Faison and Edgar Willams of Durham. Auxiliarv Meets The Woman's Auxiliary of the Presbyterian Church met Monday afternoon at the home of Mrs. A. H. Wltherington. The president. Mrs. Z. A. Gibson Was In the chair. Mrs. I. F. .Faison presented the" program. Mrs. Thompson Entertains Mrs. Jim Thompson entertained at three tables of bridge Thursday night. At the conclusion, lra. Mickey Habas was awarded the high score prize. Mrs. Vernon Crouch received second prize and Mrs. M. C. Bowden won the Bingo prize. Mrs. Habas was also given a guest prize. A salad course and a dessert course, were served. Miss Ray Hostess Miss Betty Ray was hostess at a luncheon Tuesday morning hon oring Misses Alison Home and Mary McCoy , guests of Miss Anne Stroud. Rummy was played and high score won by Miss Dotty Rector. The honorees were pre sented gifts. A delicious two course luncheon was served by Mrs. H. T. Ray assisted by Mrs. A. R. Hicks, Jr. Mrs. McCoIman Hostess Mrs. N. F. McCoIman was hos tess to her bridge club and sever al additional guests Friday night Mrs. A. R. Hicks, Jr., was given dusting powder for scoring high. Mrs. Mickey Habas was presented a guest prize. The hostess served a salad course with Iced tea. Entertains At Dance Mesdames H. T. Ray and J. B. Stroud entertained at a dance in the Community Building Wednes day night honoring Misses Alison Hearne and Mary McCoy. Punch sandwiches and cakes were served during the dance. Hostesses At Bridge Mesdames Rose Ireland and Gene Bowman were hostesses at a bridge party Wednesday after noon. Eight tables were at play. The house was made attractive with summer flowers. When scores were- counted. Mrs.. L R. Faison was the recipient of a double deck of cards for scoring high. A box of note paper was given for sec ond high and Mrs. H. L.
