John- On Thursday afternoon Mrs. Win. Pickett was hostess to the members of her bridge club and to Mesdames N. B. Boney, G. R. Dail, D. H. McKay and Bess Hlnes. Artistic arrangements of mixed spring flowers were used in her living room. At the conclusion of play, Mrs. Perry Dobson was high scorer for club members and Mrs. McKay for visitors. The hos tess served strawberry-short cake. Mrs. Grady Entertains Her Bridge Club Mrs. J. R. Grady entertained the members of the Monday even ing bridge club. Arrangements of Narcissus and rose buds were used for the occasion. When scores were totaled, Mrs. C B. Guthrie was awarded high score.: Strawberry short cake was served by the hos tess. Miss Sparlcman Hostess vTo Bridge ; ' 'Miss Elizabeth Sparkman wps hostess to' the members of her bridge club and two additional ta bles on Thursday evening in the home of Mrs. Paul Stephens. Tho house was decorated throughout with ' arrangements of beautiful spring flowers. At the conclusion of several progressions of bridge. Miss Martha Pickett was awarded high score for club members and Mrs. E. C Tyndall for visitors. Mrs. Louise Mitchell received the traveling prize. During the even ing, the hostess served coca colas and salted nuts arid at the. conclu sion a tempting sweet course. Hosts At Dinner Party : , - r 1 On Friday evening, April 19th, Mr. and , Mrs. F. W. McGowen were most gracious hosts to the members of Mrs. McGowen's Sun day School Class and other invited guests, at the Community Build ing. The club room was most at tractive looking for the occasion with arrangements of spring flowers and the tables were cen tered with roses. A most tempting and bountiful dinner was served to thirty-five guests. During the evening, Mr. Gilmer Beck, Bap tist minister of Warsaw, made a short talk. NOTICE! The PTA meets Monday night at 7:30 p. m, April 29th in the high school auditorium. This will be the last meeting of the current year.
