led the devotional from Matthew
and Mrs. Beck taught the mission

held its monthly meeting Monday
afternoon in the home of Miss Eula
Powell with her sisters, Mrs. Em
ma Chambers and Carrie Peele, as
Joint hostesses. Mrs. Allen Drau
ghon, chairman presided and there
were 18 present Mrs. R. M. Her
ring gave the devotional on "Evan
gelism" and Mrs. Robert Black-
more taught the chapter from the

Honored On Birthday
Stella Herring was honored on
her 13th birthday by her cousins,
Mary Gray and Ruby Davis at
their home Saturday night Games
were enjoyed by her many friends
and classmates. Ice cream and

Herring and Mrs. Walter Davis.
Miss Herring received many nice
and useful gifts. .
On Visit To
Nation's Capitol
Miss Marion Kalmar left on Fri
day for Washington. D. C, where
she will visit her uncle and aunt
Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Parker. She
and an aunt of the Friendship
Community, who spent the
winter in Washington will return
by plane next week.

Celebrates Birthday
Benny Frank Hobbs, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Hobbs, celebrated
his 8th birthday last Sunday with
an informal party. Various games
and contests were enjoyed and pic
tures were taken. The little guests
