' , 1 s . Mrs. Penney Entertains S. S. Class Mrs. G. V. Penney delightfully entertained her Young People's Sunday School Class of the Bap tist Church Wednesday evening at her home. The rooms were attrac tively , decorated with summer flowers. During the evening a brief business session was held to formulate plans for the newly formed class of which Mrs. Pen ney is teacher. Following business, games and contests were enjoyed and Mrs. Penney served a delicious pineapple sweet course. BAPTIST CIRCLES MEET The Rosa Hocutt Powell Circle met Monday afternoon in the home of Mrs. B. W. Pickett with Mesdames Ira Ezzell and Ralph Jones as Joint hostesses and IS present Mrs. Allen" Draughon, chairman, presided and Mrs. L. S. Whittle gave the devotional and read from The Upper Room. Mrs. Robert Blackmore taught the mission study book, "West ward Way and the hostesses served a tempting chicken salad plate. The George Rollins Circle with 12 present met Monday afternoon with Mrs. L. H. Brown and in the absence of , the chairman, Mrs. Gilmer Beck, the meeting was pre sided over by Mrs. Brown. Mrs. G. V. Stephens gave the devotional and Mrs. R. E. L. Wheeles taught the mission study course af ter which the hostess served delicious pineapple ice cream and cookies. The Katie Murray Clccle met Monday night in the home of Mrs. Thomas Rogers with Mrs. Glenn Rollins as Joint hostess and 17 present Mrs. L. O. Williams, WMU president, presided In the absence of Mrs.. J. p. Harmon. Miss Hazel Carter gave the devo tional from Luke and following business Mrs. J., M. Jenkins taught the study book and the hostesses served dainty sandwich es, cookies and punch. PRESBYTERIAN CIRCLES The Bailie Falson Peirce Circle of the Presbyterian Auxiliary met Monday night with Mrs. J. W. Farrior at her home with 10 pres ent. Mrs. L. A. Brown waa in the chair and Mrs. Eugene Clark pre sented the' Bible Study In a re markable manner.
