Fertilizer Supply
Of Demand
Although the supply of mixed
fertilisers available to farmers in
North Carolina will be almost as
large this year as last, the supply
may be less than the demand, due
to bottlenecks in the supply of in
gredients and an insufficiency of
box cars for hauling the phosphate
tock to the plants and a shortage
of tank cars used for transporting
sulphuric acid, which is used to
treat phosphate rock in producint
superphosphate, according to D. S.
Coltrane, Assistant Commissioner
of Agriculture.
