Lanier, of Rose Hill, and Mrs. Fussell. Mrs. Lanier gave an inter esting talk, after which she in stalled two new officers, Mrs. W I. Thompson and Mrs..T. C. Crow, president and secretary, respect fully. Mrs. Annie Witherington, much loved president, retired due to ill health. For three years she has served the club most faithfully, our women being willing to follow her leadership in alj worthy pro- Our club recently visited the school where various exhibits of creative art were displayed in each of the grades. The club gives prizes for the best of these exhibits each year. . Perhaps the most outstanding work by the club this past year was in the care of She cemetery which was in a deplorable condition. Mrs. I. B. Faison has spent many hours, directing this work. Miss Elizabeth has acted as treasurer, and the improvement in the looks Spring Ifclly Youlli Fellowship The Spring Rally of the Youth Fellowship ; of the Wilmington Presbytery was attended by a num ber of young people of the local church Sunday afternoon. After the Meeting the group enjoyed a picnic supper. The leader, Mrs. N. F. McColman, accompanied them. Lions Club Meets The Lions Club held Ladies' Night Friday evening in the Com munity Building with Little John Faulkner of Wilson, District Gov ernor of Eastern Carolina, Lions District 31-C as special guest The meeting was in charge of president L. D. Groome. , The ladies were extended greet ings by C. A. Decker and Mrs. J. B. Stroud responded. A duet was sung by Misses Dotty Rector and Anne Stroud. Miss Stroud also, sang a solo. Miss Betty Ray played their accompaniment A talk was made by Mr. Faulk ner on the work of the Lions and a delicious supper was served by the Methodist ladies.
