Packer buyers furnished a ready market outlet for most cattle, but large supplies of low grade animals, in some places, went to. .50 a hundred pounds lower. Good grade steers topped at $23.75 and choice fed topped the market at $26 a hund red pounds. Announces Date For Forestry Camp The annual forestry camp for farm boys, operated by the N. C. Division of Forestry and Parks will be held at Singletary Lake in the Bladen Lakes State Forest near Elizabethtown from Aug. 25-31. The purpose Is to acquaint farm boys with good methods of forest protection and management and to give instruction in .toe use of fire fighting equipment, timber estima ting, timber harvest, selective cut ting, timber stand improvement. and reforestation. The ...boys will have plenty of time for swimming, sports and other recreation. ' The camp will be limited to 50 boys, 25 4-H boys and 25 FFA boys. Prominent Calypso Resident Dies Robert Andrew Waller, 39, of Calypso, died early Friday morn ing in Duke Hospital where he had been for a week receiving treat ment for a brain tumor. Funeral services were held Saturday after noon at 4 o'clock at his home in the Winfield Byrd residence near Calypso, with the Rev. C. E. Crawford,- pastor of the Calypso Bap tist Church, in charge. Burial rites were in charge of the Masonic Lodge in Mt. Olive. Surviving are his wife, the former Julia Byrd of Calypso; two children, James Scott and Elizabeth Byrd Waller: his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W.
