the Rtvermont Presbyterian Church
in Lynchburg, Va.,Tbe Eev. P. G.
Cosby, III; and the Rev. N. Gordon
Cosby, brothers of the bride, offi
ciated, using the double ring cere
mony. .
Given in marriage Jay her father,
the bride woffc a white satin wed
ding. gown, designed on princess
lines, embroidered in seed pearls
with a full skirt termintaing in a
long train, and she carried a cas
cade bouquet of white roses, gar
denias and Stephanotis. A full
length veil of illusion fell from a
coronet of satin and orange bloss
oms. She wore an, heirloom neck
lace worn by her 'mother at her

Out-of-town guests from Ral
eigh were Dorsey E. Poole, father
of the bridegroom and the bride
groom's brother, Edward Poole. . .
An informal reception for the
bridjal party, immediate "-family,
and out of town guests was held at
the home of the bride's parents."
Mrs. Poole last month completed
the course at the Presbyterian Gen
eral Assembly's Training School in
Richmond, and the Rev. Poole re
ceived the degree of bachelor of
divinity at Union Theological Sem
inary in Richmond, and is serving
as pastor of the Presbyterian chur
ches of Clarksville, Cluster Springs,
Turbeville and the Bluestone
Church.
Card Club Meets
The Thursday Afternoon Card
Club met in the home of Mrs. P. J.
Dobson with Mesdames Caroline
Gavin and Daisy Smith as guests.
The club was dessert bridge with
n birthday cike honoring Mrs..N.
B. Boney on her birthday. She cut
the cake which was served with
peaches and whipped cream; A col

Scouts Meet
