Jones company into one of the ter sest farm and home suddiv busi nesses in this' section. ' ' Last year Herbert bought and operated the New Carolina Ware house in Kins ton. He Is also, part ner and manager of the Jenkins- Jones-Ford Agency in Kinston. Last spring he bought the Eagle Warehouse, one of the oldest and best known houses in Kinston. This season Herbert will, per sonally manage the New Carolina assisted by Jimmy Johnson of Pink HilL - The Eagle Warehouse will be managed by C. Kersey Smith, one of the most capable and best known tobacconists in Kinston. Kersey will be assisted by Floyd B. Jones, brother of Herbert Incidently. Shutt of Falson is moving from Duplin with his fam ily this week to Emporia, Va. where he is being transferred by the Chas. F. Cates & Sons, Inc. of Faison. Mr. Shutt came to Duplin in August 1937 as principal of the Outlaw's Bridge School He served there two years and In 1839 was elected principal of the Faison School. He served in that position until 1943 when he resigned to ac cept a position with Chas F. Cates SC SOnS. ; Mr. Shutt took an active part in community affairs since coming to Duplin.
