Mr. and Mrs. Bill Nelson have moved to Kenansville to make their home. He has accepted a po sition with the N. C. State Dept. He was here for several months with the Shepherd Construction Co. Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Mercer and Ona Gail, Mrs. Rossie Grady and William Allen, and Coy Tho mas visited White Lake Sunday Mr. daughters and Mrs. H. M. Roberts of South Hill, Va. have returned I home afttr Visiting Mrs. S. P. Mrs. Hettie Knowles, 75, died early Wednesday at the home of her son, S. H. Knowles in Asbe boro. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock from Reef Hill Universalist Church with the Rev. M. C. McQueen of Clinton in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery. Surviving in addition to her son are one dau ghter, Mrs. S. C. Hill of Wilming ton; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Bryant of Magnolia, Mrs. O. M. Rich of Richmond, Va.; and ona brother, Thadeus Vann of Rose Hill. Outlaw's Bridge Hews Mr Roscoe Prater of Camp Hill, Ala. is visiting his parents, Rev. and Mrs. L. C. Prater.
