M. - -Kenansville 11:00 A. M. Friendship 8:00 P. M. The 'pastor, Rev.' John M. Cline, will do the preaching at each of inese services. Mrs J. W. Shaffer entertained at a Stanley party at her home on Wednesday evening. After a dem onstration a social hour was en- Joyed at which-time the hostess assisted by , her daughters served coca' colas, assorted cookies and salted nuts. , 'v afreet Klub The Kenansville Kontract Klub met Wednesday afternoon in the home of Mr D. & Williamson. Late summer flowers were used for decoration. Additional guests were Mesdames J. E. Jerrltt, P. J. Dob son and C. B. Sitterson. At the conclusion of play Mrs. J. O. Stokes was awarded high score for club members and Mrs. Jerrltt for vis itors. They were 'both given a jar. of home made peach Jain. Mrs. J. B. Wallace was given a jar of home made apple jelly for cut prize. The hostess served delicious jello top ped with whipped cream. IToniih's Club enjoys . Football practice be gan Sept. 1st and registration for the fall semester begins today at Presbyterian Junior College. The otal enrollment for Summer School was 215 students from eight states and two foreign countries. Coach R. R. Doak expects a strong squad to begin football practice. The registrars office announces there are still openings for fall registration if the students live in rooms in Maxton residences.
