Former Warsaw Girl Attends The Andrews family reunion was held at the home of Allen B. An ; draws in Mt. Olive on Sunday. About 50 persons attended and enjoyed a barbecue, dinner in the yard. Chicken, country ham, sand wiches, cake and other delicacies were also served. Guests attended from Richmond, and Roanoke, Va., Jacksonville, Fla., and all parts of North Carolina. .Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Andrews of Jacksonville, Fla. Young People Hold Joint Meeting The Methodist and Presbyterian young people held their regular joint, meeting at the Methodist Church Sunday evening at 7 o' 'Clock. Maty Elizabeth Packer had ' Charge of the meeting and gave an interesting and inspiring pro- gram; 13 young people were pres ent',''., ; i . i .. .. v- -' The meeting Sunday will be held At the Presbyterian Chnrch. These meetings are held on aV ternate Sundays with the two , groups participating. Mrs. Jesse Stewart is adult leader for the Presbyterians and Mrs. Gordon Kornegay for the Methodists. All interested young people are in vited to attend. Warsaw Man Aboard USS Fort Marion , Grady Patterson, chief steward, USN, husband of Mrs. Mattie L. Patterson of Warsaw is serving aboard the landing ship USS Fort Marion. . The Fort Marion has been hold- lng individual ship exercises and type training out of San Diego har boi in preparation for the coming amphibious operations to be held on the sandy beaches of Southern California in November.
