Hub program chairman, presented an in teresting program, highlighting our Confederate ancestors in whose name the members became Daugh ters. It was interesting to note that four members present Joined under their fathers, who were each lllu strious veterans, namely, Mejdames u. a. womack, B..V. Pridgen, John Best and Daisy Jordan. Each mem ber cited interesting works of their ancestors and Mrs. Henry L. Ste vens, Jr, retiring President with eight years of efficient work, con cluded the program with ber essay which won her a $5 award at the recent convention. Her essay, writ ten in a most interesting manner, told of the life and war time inci dents o f"A veteran I Once Knew", referring to her grandfather, Cpt. Seymour A. Johnson, father of for mother, Mrs. L. A. Dallas Ritter delightfully entertained at her home on Col lege St., Sunday at a dinner party honoring her husband, who was celebrating his birthday. For the 'past several y-ars Miss West has been entered by her friends into several Beauty Con tests in which she came out in the top ranksT Mrs. Snyder Holds Homemakers Class Mrs. Kathleen P. Snyder of the Warsaw High School Home Ec De partment, is conducting a series of Adult Homemaker's Classes every Thursday evening at 7 o'clock in the Hpme Ec rooms at the school. This series of studies will last for six weeks and each week she will teach lessons worth while and use ful to the homemaker. Ve saw a need for such an institution to supply the farmers of the Warsaw trading area. The response wps gratifying and we vant to express our sincere ap preciation for the fine confidence shown us. The business has grown every year and we believe will continue to grow. The condition of my health has necessitated my moving into a different climate. The new owner ship will continue the same policies and service as heretofore shown. Warsaw Boy Edmon B. Raynor, USN, son cf Mr. and Mrs. J .B. Raynor of War saw, has completed reeruit train ing at the Naval Training Center in San Diego, Calif, and has been advanced to seaman, second class.
